Dr. B is a coach to performers of all types:
- Singers (opera, jazz, rock)
- Stage, film and TV actors
- Dancers
- Instrumentalists
- Public speakers
Dr. B coaches world class performers, including Academy Award
and Tony award winners, musicians who have been awarded top prizes
in national and international competitions, and well known public
speakers. He also coaches performers at the training and
entry levels. In addition he works with writers, painters
and designers.
What
is Dr. B’s background in working with performers?
Dr. B is an experienced performer himself. A prodigious piano
player as a child, Dr. B became an Equity actor as a young adult
and has gone on to direct and produce theater and opera in the
US and abroad, working at The Sundance Institute, The Juilliard
School and The Australian National Academy of Dramatic Art. In
addition to his doctorate in Applied Psychology, Dr. B holds an
advanced degree in music composition from Mills College. He is
a master teacher in the Adler Fellowship and Merola programs at
the San Francisco Opera, and the founder of The Singer’s
Gym, a workshop for professional singers. For

process: you meet with Dr. B to assess what you need, you set goals,
he teaches you his performance model as applied to your situation,
and you implement the tools.
The model is easy-to-learn

Coaching is individual one-on-one, and conducted in person, on
the phone and via the internet.
